CATALYST

(Katie, she/her)

Catalyst is a civil engineer who has put her talents toward engineering new opportunities in Science and Engineering for children! When she isn't hanging out with her husband and kids, Catalyst enjoys teaching fitness classes at the gym and rocking out at the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival! Catalyst can't wait to hear all about what you've been up to this past year, and to see all of the wonderful Worlds UNBound families again this summer!

CURIE

(Veronica, she/her) 

Veronica recently graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management. Specializing in Wildlife Conservation, Veronica shares a deep passion for animals and the outdoors. After spending three years with Worlds UNBound as an Instructor, Veronica moved into the role of Program Coordinator to continue inspiring the future generation of scientists and engineers to be collaborative, compassionate, and proactive!

  • Fungi

    Camp Specialist

    Fungi just finished his Bachelor of Science at the University of New Brunswick. He has a strong love for chemistry and teaching the youth about STEM and wants to be a teacher in the future. In his free time, Fungi loves sitting down with a good book or taking care of his many, many plants. This is his second year with WorldsUNBound and he is so excited to be back and running camps for the summer.

  • Joule

    Camp Specialist

    Joule just finished her Education Degree at Saint Thomas University! She loves all sciences and plans on becoming a teacher one day. In her free time, Joule loves reading, spending time with friends and swimming. Joule is very excited to share her love of science and learning with the campers this summer!

  • Comet

    Workshop Specialist

    Comet is entering her third year studying Biopsychology/neuroscience. Comet loves learning about our brains because she thinks it is very cool to learn why we think, feel, and behave in certain ways! When she is not immersed in her studies, Comet loves spending time with her friends, going on runs and reading. Comet is super pumped to meet everyone this summer and cannot wait to share her love for science with you all! 

  • Beaker

    Workshop Specialist

    Beaker is going into her third year of UNB’s Bachelor of Arts and Sciences concurrent program, and hopes to major in Biology and Anthropology. In her free time, Beaker loves listening and playing music, reading, and enjoying time with friends and family. She is so excited to share her passion for science with campers this summer!

    Instructor

    Ario is going into her third year of Chemistry at Mount Allison University. In her free time Ario plays on the Mount Allison Women's Volleyball team, enjoys working out and seeing her friends.  She is interested in becoming a pharmacist in the future and loves understanding how and why things work and is so excited to share her passion for science!

    Cosmo is going into her second year of Kinesiology at UNB. She loves science and hopes to be an elementary school teacher in her future! In her free time she loves to play with her dogs, go camping and go hiking. Cosmo is super excited to return for her third summer at Worlds UNBound!

    Python is going into his final year of software engineering at UNB. He loves exploring technology and is passionate about designing software systems that have a positive impact on people’s lives. In his free time, Python loves to play sports, listen to music, watch movies, and play video games. Python is super excited to share his love for STEM and inspire future scientists and engineers!

    Instructor

    Nova is going into her third year of a Bachelor of Science majoring in psychology.  She loves to work with kids and to study different learning disorders, and hopes to be a Clinical Psychologist in the future! When she's not working towards this goal, Nova loves to paint, sew, read, and spend time outside with friends. Nova is so excited for her first year working as an instructor, and is looking forward to sharing her interest and love for science! 

  • Kryptonite

    Instructor

    Kryptonite is in his third year of Mechanical engineering at UNB. He is excited to meet all the great scientists and show them all how much fun he has making huge engineering contraptions. When he isn’t working on school machines, he works on his car and loves to make videos very creatively. He looks forward to sharing the summer with you at Worlds UNBound!! 

  • Jupiter

    Instructor

    Jupiter is going into his 2nd year of civil engineering at UNB and is extremely excited to meet all the aspiring engineers and scientists at the STEM camp. When Jupiter is not designing bridges/ buildings, he loves to play soccer, play video games, and watch sci-fi movies. Jupiter is looking forward to teaching the campers how engineers combine creativity and problem-solving skills to design cool gadgets and machines, that make everyday tasks easier. 

  • MC^2

    Instructor

    MC2 is entering his second year at UNB, where he is pursuing a degree in Biology. He is passionate about science and loves learning about plants, nature, and how living things work. MC2 hopes to pursue a career in medicine in the future and enjoys exploring new ideas through science and experimentation. When he is not studying, he can often be found listening to music, going to the gym, spending time outdoors, or hanging out with his six siblings. MC2 is very excited to be working with Worlds UNBound this summer and cannot wait to inspire young scientists through STEM and hands-on learning! 

  • Stitch

    Instructor

    Stitch is going into her second year of Biology at UNB in the fall. She loves biology and science because she loves to learn new things and how everything around us works. In the future, she hopes to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. In her free time, she loves spending time with friends, being outside, and skiing in the winter! Stitch is super excited to work at Worlds UNBound again this summer and help youth discover their love for STEM! 

  • WHIMIS

    Instructor

    This is WHMIS! He will be one of the camp instructors for this summer. He goes to the University of New Brunswick and is taking a Bachelor of Science in biology-chemistry. He has loved science ever since he was a little kid and has a passion for sharing his knowledge with the next generation of scientists. After university, he wants to pursue a career in the healthcare field. Apart from school and Worlds UNBound, he likes to stay active by going to the gym, rock climbing, swimming, and running and also enjoys crocheting as well! 

  • Micro

    Instructor

    Micro is going into her second year of Mount Allison University’s Bachelor of Science along with playing basketball! In her free time, she loves going to the gym, going for walks, playing with her dogs and exploring! This is Micro’s third summer at Worlds UNBound, what she loves most about working here is meeting so many new people!

    Halo is entering her third year of university at UNB, majoring in Psychology. She is interested in learning about the human brain and aspires to become a psychologist. When Halo is not studying, she can be found reading, travelling, dancing, and exploring the outdoors in good company. Halo is very excited to be working at Worlds UNBound this summer and cannot wait to engage youth in STEM.

  • Flux

    HS Intern

    Flux is entering Grade 12 at Fredericton High School and is enthusiastic about helping campers explore STEM through engaging, hands-on activities. He especially enjoys leading outdoor experiences that encourage teamwork, learning, and exploration. Outside of school, Flux enjoys playing sports and staying active at the gym. He plans to study engineering at university and is excited to share his passion for STEM with campers throughout the summer.

  • Eclipse

    HS Intern

    Eclipse is a senior in high school and is returning for her third year as a high school intern. She loves working at Worlds UNBound and getting the youth engaged in positive STEM activities. In her free time, Eclipse likes playing rugby, camping, and going for runs. She is so excited to spend another summer at Worlds UNBound and can’t wait for camps to start.

    HS Intern

    Nano is entering her first year at the University of Waterloo, where she will be studying Nanotechnology Engineering. She enjoys spending her free time camping, hiking, reading, and going for walks with friends. Nano is passionate about STEM and is excited to share her knowledge and enthusiasm with young learners. She looks forward to helping campers explore new ideas, build confidence, and develop a love for science and technology.

    HS Intern

    Helix is entering Grade 11 at Stanley Consolidated School. He is passionate about environmental science and enjoys participating in environmental clubs and Envirothon activities that provide hands-on learning experiences. In his free time, he enjoys reading and volunteering in after-school programs that support younger students. Helix is excited to spend his first summer with Worlds UNBound, where he looks forward to inspiring campers through STEM learning and exploration. He hopes to pursue a career in geological engineering in the future.

  • Spark

    HS Intern

    Spark is entering Grade 12 at Fredericton High School and is excited to help campers discover new and exciting aspects of STEM. She enjoys staying active through volleyball and fitness, and she has a strong passion for mathematics, often exploring math concepts in her free time. Spark has also been playing the violin since the age of seven and enjoys listening to music. She looks forward to sharing her enthusiasm for learning while helping campers build confidence and curiosity in STEM subjects.

    HS Intern

    Star is entering Grade 11 at Fredericton High School. In her free time, she enjoys playing the bass guitar, crocheting, reading, and writing poetry. She is excited to work with campers, support lead instructors, and help create a fun and engaging camp experience. Star has a strong interest in medicine and hopes to pursue a career as a neurosurgeon in the future. She looks forward to inspiring curiosity and encouraging campers to explore new STEM concepts.

  • Neutron

    HS Intern

    Neutron is entering Grade 11 and enjoys spending his free time playing video games, basketball, and soccer. He is excited to meet new campers, support their learning, and help create a fun and welcoming camp experience. Neutron has a strong interest in STEM and hopes to pursue a career in civil engineering in the future. He looks forward to encouraging campers to explore new ideas and develop their problem-solving skills.

  • Luna

    HS Intern

    Luna is entering Grade 11 at Fredericton High School. In her free time, she enjoys reading, biking, playing tennis, and volunteering in the community.  Luna is excited to begin her first summer at Worlds UNBound and share her enthusiasm for science with other youth and help them discover their own interests in STEM.  She is extremely passionate about healthcare and hopes to pursue a career in medicine. She looks forward to meeting new campers and helping create a fun and welcoming camp experience.

    InSTEM HS Intern

    Ecko is entering Grade 11 at Fredericton High School. She enjoys fishing and playing softball and has a strong interest in science and lifelong learning. Ecko is excited to expand her knowledge across different scientific fields while helping younger students discover the excitement of STEM. She is passionate about encouraging curiosity and confidence in young learners and hopes to attend veterinary school and become a veterinarian in the future.

    Tech Specialist

    Electro is going into his final year of Electrical Engineering at UNB and is super pumped to welcome all the aspiring engineers and Codemakers to the STEM camp! When Electro is not studying/solving engineering problems, he likes to play football, swim, as well as spend time with friends. Electro is excited to teach the campers the ways engineers can improve the world by their problem-solving skills and coding. See you at the camps!

    Instructor

    Flora is going into her third year of UNB’s Bachelor of Arts program with a major in English and she plans on going into Education when she is finished! When Flora doesn't have her nose stuck in a book, she loves being outside and spending time with kids. Flora is very excited for her first year working as a Worlds UNBound instructor and can't wait to meet all of this summer's campers!

  • Hydro

    Outreach Camp Specialist

    Hydro is going into her third year of Civil Engineering at UNB, where she’s passionate about using her studies to make a positive impact on the environment. When she’s not studying, you’ll find her in the pool representing the Reds swim team. Outside of academics and athletics, she enjoys reading, playing guitar, and spending time outdoors. This summer, she’s thrilled to be traveling around New Brunswick to inspire young minds and share her love for STEM!

    Orbit just graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She is interested in becoming a teacher in the future and is so excited to be working at Worlds UNBound this summer! Orbit loves to read, swim, travel and take her dog Bruno for walks in her free time. She is so excited to meet all of the young scientists and to have a great summer!

    This is Lunars third year working at World’s UNBound, but her first as a lead instructor. She’s going into her second year of university in Health science. In her free time, Lunar loves to play badminton, listen to music, draw and play with her cats. Lunar is super excited to be back and meet all of the future scientists and engineers!

    Pluto is going into her second year of medical science at Dalhousie University, and hopes to become a family doctor after school. When she isn’t memorizing Biology diagrams or studying for Calculus, Pluto likes to draw, read, and spend time with her friends and family. Pluto is super pumped to share her passion for science with her campers this summer!

    GABA is going into her 4th year of Biopsychology at UNB, with a specialization in Neuroscience. GABAs favorite subject is psychology, and she intends on pursing Gerontology after completing her Bachelors of Science. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, exploring new hiking trails, and hanging out with friends. She is so excited to meet all of the campers and is looking forward to having an awesome summer with them!

    HS Intern

    Flux is going into grade 11 at FHS and is very excited to help campers learn about STEM at camps. When Flux isn’t working or learning at school he likes to play sports around his neighborhood with friends. In the future, Flux wants to study biology or science in university.

  • Bubbles

    HS Intern

    Bubbles is a junior in high school. She's interested in being a NICU nurse in the future. Bubbles loves to spend all her time with her friends. She also loves going swimming, camping and going on adventures. She loves working with children and is extremely excited to be working at worlds unbound this summer.

    Cosmo is going into her first year of UNB’s Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She loves working with kids, and is hoping to be a kindergarten teacher in her future! In her free time she loves to be outdoors hiking, camping and biking. She is returning for her second year as an intern at Worlds UNBound and is super excited to have lots of fun this summer!

Veronica is in her third year of Environmental Management at UNB with a specialization in Wildlife Conservation. She loves everything outdoors, whether that be hiking, outdoor labs, or just walking on campus. Grace is entering her 4th year of Bachelor of Arts in Biopsychology. Joule loves all sciences and plans on becoming a teacher one day. Claire is in her 3rd year of a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at UNB. She is originally from Newfoundland and has loved getting to explore Fredericton! When Claire is not studying she can usually be found reading, walking at the walking bridge, or hanging out with friends! Claire is super excited to explore STEM with students this fall!

Chelsey is in her fifth year at UNB taking an honours in Biology. She’s interested in studying the impact of viruses and bacteria on human health. In her free time she loves to be in the research lab, read, and go to the gym. She’s looking forward to teaching students about the world of STEM!

Pythagoras is going into his 3rd year of Civil Engineering at UNB. He loves geometry and finding all the zero force members in a truss. Joy is in her 5th year of studying Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Mechatronics. Passionate about increasing diversity in Mechanical Engineering, Joy is especially excited to see more women join the field. When she is not immersed in engineering, you’ll find her staying active, baking, watching action thriller/K-dramas, or hanging out with family.

Kinjal

Kinjal is a final-year mechanical engineering student at UNB, specializing in mechatronics. She thrives on transforming her innovative ideas into tangible designs, and integrating electronics to bring the visions to life. During her free time she enjoys reading rom-com, painting, and experimenting new dishes for her roommates. Kinjal’s passion for engineering and her vibrant hobbies reflect her dynamic personality, making her not only a dedicated student but also a cherished friend and culinary adventurer!

Jessica is in her first year of a bachelor of science in kinesiology. She plans on becoming a physiotherapist one day. In her free time she enjoys being around her family and friends, going outdoors and spends a lot of time at the rink.

After completing her Mechanical Engineering degree in Hong Kong, Inertia moved to Canada to pursue her Bachelor of Education in the Middle/High School stream. She can speak three different languages; English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Feel free to chat with her and share new phrases from other languages! She’s super excited to meet everyone at Worlds UNBound and can’t wait to share her passion for robotics and coding with you all!
